For those businesses who do not have their own wine brands and who wish to purchase a complete, finished product, we have our own selection of standard labels available. In certain cases, depending on the size of volumes and scale of the opportunity, custom labels can be created. Get in touch with sales@garconwines.com to discuss your order requirements.
Our bottles are suitable for a variety of different drinks and liquids. However, we are currently focusing exclusively on the wine industry and are not able to supply bottles for non-wine based applications (such as spirits, olive oil, toiletries or cleaning products). If you'd like to be kept in the loop about when we are able to supply empty bottles for liquids other than wine, please sign up to our business newsletter.
No. Our bottles are currently not able to hold any carbonated drinks, including sparkling wines. Carbonated drinks exert significant outward-forcing pressure in bottle the flat panels of our bottles are not yet strong enough for their large surface area to withstand this pressure.
Our bottles are designed as a sustainable advancement to traditional round, glass wine bottles, holding the standard 750ml volume of wine. Currently, we only offer a 750ml, flat, cross-section design of the traditional Bordeaux shape. However, we do have a wide IP portfolio for flat bottle designs and are in the process of exploring new bottle sizes and shapes.
No. We can supply both filled and empty bottles depending on the opportunity. We are ready to offer other companies our eco, flat bottles filled with a carefully curated selection of wines, using our own brands or as a private label offering. This is a solution for businesses that prefer to purchase a complete product. Alternatively, we can supply a complete solution of dry goods and quality bottling to companies wanting to offer their own wines and brands, in a more sustainable way, in our eco, flat bottles. In very special and limited cases, we may supply dry goods only. Get in touch with sales@garconwines.com to learn more.
No. We have pivoted our business to operate as a business-to-business company and do not offer a direct-to-consumer wine club subscription service. You can purchase wine as a consumer through one of our stockists as listed on the stockists page: www.garconwines.com/stockists
The food-grade recycled PET used for our bottles does not react with wine or affect its taste or quality in any way as it is a very stable, inert material. However, PET is naturally porous and offers just a moderate barrier to oxygen, and so there is some ingress of oxygen over time. If the wine were ever to change in character or flavour, then it would be solely as a harmless reaction with oxygen. To improve the performance of our bottles, we introduce an advanced barrier technology to increase shelf-life of the wine.
Our bottles are currently sold to businesses in the UK and Netherlands. We can also explore opportunities for other countries, especially the USA, Australia and France, although our bottles are not currently sold in these markets. Finished product is currently available to consumers online in the UK, and online & in-store in the Netherlands (De Bijenkorf), Finland (Alko) and Sweden (Systembolaget). We offer packaging for mass-market wines which will usually not require more than a year of shelf-life, a timeline our packaging is well suited to. We use an advanced barrier technology to offer an improved shelf-life of 12-18 months depending on the wine.
Our bottle supply partner in the UK and Europe is Berry M&H, part of Fortune 500 plastics packaging giant, Berry Global. In the North American market, our bottles are produced by Amcor, the leading plastic packaging provider to the US wine industry. Our secondary packaging (cases and postal boxes) are manufactured by market leader and FTSE 100 company, DS Smith.
We're a business-to-business company, so we supply other businesses who then supply their own customer bases. You can see a full list of where you can buy our flat wine bottles on our Stockists page, www.garconwines.com/stockists
